On December 4, 2025, in a televised interview on Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT), the Founder of Dizolele Advisory, Mvemba Dizolele, expressed deep skepticism about a United States-brokered peace agreement between the leaders of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He argued that the deal was destined to fail because it ignored core issues such as territorial integrity, the support of violent militias, and the illegal exploitation of natural resources. Dizolele noted that the agreement appeared to have been signed primarily to secure short-term political legitimacy and to appease the Trump administration, rather than to meaningfully address human suffering on the ground. He further highlighted a conflict of interest, asserting that the United States could not credibly act as a neutral mediator while simultaneously pursuing access to the region’s mineral resources. Ultimately, he concluded that the agreement lacked enforcement mechanisms and would therefore do little to halt the ongoing violence affecting civilian populations in occupied territories.
